2016 Night of Giving Gala - Saturday, October 1: 6PM at Metropolist
Join us for a night of giving and celebration. Learn how Southwest Youth and Family Services works with our community members to transform the lives of youth and families. With your help we are empowering our community through education, family support, behavioral health and youth development programs.
At the 2016 Night of Giving Gala, we plan to expose you to the exciting work going on in our community, plus have a great time with our cocktail hour from 6-7pm, dinner from Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes, a raffle (which includes Alaska Airlines tickets), wine toss, the ever popular dessert dash and our evening program featuring emcee Ron Sims and client testimonials, ending in an opportunity to give.
On August 17, the public is invited to join us at Youngstown (6pm) watch our Summer Writers' Workshop Poetry Performance "The Boot" as a warm-up to our Gala on October 1. A night of inspiring poetry from our students will allow you to hear their voices and imagine a glimpse of their daily struggles. Our Gala on October 1 will focus on our need to expand the Education Center programs further into White Center and Burien and reach more students in need.
Stay tuned for more information as details are confirmed.
